Carshalton Beeches

Registered Charity - No. 1130318
Back in 1929, following the building of many new homes, Carshalton Beeches had become a growing suburban community of 8,000 people. Among them were several Christians who saw the need for a church at the heart of this new development, to serve not just Baptists but those from any of the Free churches. A building fund was started and by 1930 this had reached £405. In March 1931 building work began on the church hall. This, the first phase of the project, was completed by July.
The total cost was £3,392 – equivalent to over £1million at today's prices.
