...arriving It's probably best to arrive around 10:20am on your first visit. We have people waiting at our main doors to say hello to everyone, and to hand out notice sheets & Bibles.
...joining in Our services are a mix of singing (following the words on the screens at the front), fun (especially at Family Services), learning (what the Bible says about life), and prayer (asking Jesus to get involved). You are welcome to join in as much, or as little, as you like - please relax & have fun.
...children & young people Everyone stays in the main hall for the first 10-15 minutes of our morning services, then our children & young people (up to 18 years old) go to their separate groups. Usually the first Sunday in the month is a Family Service, when everyone stays in (except for the babies, who have the option of going out to our creche); and on the last Sunday there is JAM+ when the children have their own activities for the whole morning.
...accessibility We have wheelchair ramps into our buildings, and have accessible toilet facilities. A hearing loop is also available.
...money! In each service, there's a collection, so that regular members can give to the work of the church. Of course, most people these days give by standing order from their bank, so the bags pass round fairly quickly! Visitors are not expected to give - we're just glad to see you.
...background to Christianity There are many websites that you can look at, although as with any other topic, remember that what's published on the internet is not necessarily true or accurate. Here's one to get you started. If you want to talk through what you're discovering, please ask us about our discussion groups.
...anything else If you need to know anything else about what we do, or why we do it, please do use the contact page on our website.
We'd love to see you... :-) |
