Christian Aid Week
“What does the Lord require from you except to carry out justice and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God?” - Micah 6:8
This year’s Christian Aid Week unites churches and communities across Britain and Ireland to support families facing urban poverty and hunger. The theme emphasizes "faithful action" through prayer, giving, and practical support to help urban farmers build food security and sustainable.
Christian Aid exists to create a world where everyone can live a full life that is free from poverty by aligning with God’s purpose and give dignity back to people who are materially poor. It is a global movement of people, churches, and local organisations seeking to tackle the root causes of extreme poverty. Individual (especially Christians), churches and organisations fundraise to support the cause to reduce poverty.
Beeches Baptist has partnered with Christian Aid Week for many years and will continue to do so. As we did last year, our church congregation will have the opportunity to donate in support of the fund-raising campaign on the Sundays of 10th and 17th May.
The CollectTin will be available for card payments on these two Sundays.
Cheques and cash can be placed in the Joy Box clearly marked for Christian Aid.
