Deacons Election 2025

The annual election of Deacons will take place at the Church Meeting on Sunday 25th May 2025. There are three places available on the diaconate (a maximum number of nine deacons are permitted in the Church Rules). It is not essential that we fill all the places but we want to be looking to God in order to discern the leaders he is calling to serve on our Church Leadership Team.

Any church member who has been in membership for over 12 months and who is at least 21 years old is eligible for election as a Deacon.

Please think and pray about this and only nominate those whom you consider to have the spiritual gifts and leadership abilities needed to serve the Church as a Deacon. You are not obliged to fill all of the spaces. If you do not feel able to nominate any candidates this year, simply tick the appropriate box.

You should not nominate any members of the present Diaconate who can continue to serve until 2026 or 2027. In accordance with our Church Rules please do not include the names of any more than six eligible candidates. Those members who have received ten or more nominations will then be invited to consider standing for election and have an opportunity to discuss this with the minister before making their decision.
